Unfaithfulness Breaks God's Heart

When we’re unfaithful, we take ourselves out from under the protective umbrella of God's grace by blatantly participating in sinful activities and putting other gods in your life.

We saw this with King Solomon this past week in our readings.  The kingdom of Israel was split into two parts and entered into constant conflicts ... all because Solomon practiced the reprehensible actions of his wives who worshipped pagan gods.

Hebrews 12: 1-3 NIV

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

There’s witnesses… so throw off your sin … keep your eyes of Jesus and run the race … walk the walk, talk the talk - choose The Lord this day.
